Scale Ireland Event

It was a great honor for Empeal to have been a part of the latest Scale Ireland event where our founder Sohini was asked to attend along with a keynote address from the Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohoe. The discussion surrounded the topic of indigenous tech start-ups and the importance they hold to our Economic Future. For participating in this event Sohini was featured in the Irish Times where the government's support for start-ups was highlighted. 





Tech Ireland Report

As Empeal is an early stage, award-winning digital health company we are delighted to be featured in this TechIreland Report, which has provided insights from some of the leading experts in the sector. In this report, Empeal's start-up journey in Ireland was discussed along with the digital wellbeing sector and the challenges and supports which come with being a start-up in Ireland.

      Nutrition & Health

In this next interview, Empeal was joined by Kara O’Donnell from East Cork Nutrition who is a qualified Nutritional Therapist based in Midleton, Co Cork. Kara is extremely passionate about personalised nutrition and functional approaches to health. In this interview, Kara educates us about healthy eating while empowering us to make informed choices when it comes to diet & lifestyle.

Empeal was also chosen to take part in the US Connected Health Summit. For this event, Empeal was joined by some of the most exciting and innovative health tech companies to present to a panel of judges. The aim was to help ignite ideas and inspire change within the health tech industry.


September in Review!

We are delighted two have gone through another successful month here at Empeal. This month has been extremely exciting for us as we have embarked on new adventures.  September has been particularly busy as we have spent the past few weeks participating in various conferences, interviews, and events. We have spoken to a multitude of individuals across many different organisations and have had the pleasure to be featured in The Irish Times and Tech Ireland, Health-tech report. We have immensely enjoyed working with so many different people as we have gotten to learn even more about the artificial intelligence space and digital health.



John McCarthy AI summer School

We are delighted that our founder Sohini was chosen to be a guest speaker at the John McCarthy AI Summer School. For this event, Sohini discussed the area of artificial intelligence for wellness and its everyday use for those with chronic conditions.

Pension Awareness Week

This month Sohini also participated in a very informative discussion with Feargal McKenna for Pensions Awareness Week 2021. In this interview, Sohini speaks on wellness technologies and how it is changing corporate approaches to wellbeing. This session looks at how new platforms can enhance staff wellbeing, and increase engagement with pensions and benefits, for on-site and remote-working teams.




Alzheimer's Awareness

In this next interview, Edelle discussed the prevention and management of Alzheimer’s disease to give hope to those who have been affected or are looking for further information regarding lifestyle change and Alzheimer’s. Edelle has trained with leading neurologist Dr. Dale Bredesen at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging in the Bredesen Protocol for the prevention of Alzheimer's Disease.






           Suicide Prevention Day 

Empeal also collaborated for World Suicide Prevention Day 2021 with Fiona Coyle who is the Chief Executive Officer for Mental Health Reform. This year for World Suicide Prevention Day the theme and aim was to help create a more compassionate society where people can feel comfortable coming forward to seek help if they need it. We urge others to reach out for help and to join this cause in creating a more compassionate society where everyone is heard.
